Welcome to Wilderness Toka Leya
Toka-Leya refers to an indigenous ethnic grouping, primarily residing near Victoria Falls in Zambia and Zimbabwe, formed by the union of the Toka (Batoka) and Leya (Baleya) peoples. The name is believed to originate from the Tonga phrase twakasotoka mwami ("we crossed over, chief"), referring to their migration across the Kalomo River.
